What

A Trail Running Program for kids. Registrants will learn the basics of trail running fundamentals with fun and friendly instructors while experiencing the benefits of exercise and time spent in nature. 
Instruction will include:

• proper warm-up and cool-down routines 
• agility ladder and co-ordination drills
• specific hill and trail running skills and strategies
• an informal race on the last week of the program

Who

Children aged 7-12, total participants will be based on number of instructors available, a small coach to participant ratio will be maintained. 

When

One hour sessions, Fridays in May and/or June starting at 6:00pm - start date May 6, 2022 and June 3, 2022.
Events will take place rain or shine but dangerous conditions such as Thunderstorms may force us to cancel certain nights.  

Cost

$100 per month, includes:

• 4 - 1 hour instructional sessions
• informal race on the last week of the program (exact date to be determined)
• kids sized BDR trucker hat
• cash/e-transfer, paid in full on first night of program.

Where

Parking/Drop off will be available at Lions Park, in Paris ON.

Registrants will participate on the single track trail network in Barker's Bush. 

Other

Please take necessary precautions for weather conditions and the possibility of ticks. 
Children should come with plenty of water. 
Payment can be made on the first night of the program, e-transfer or cash only.
